Each year, the Moline Public Schools Foundation awards more than $50,000 in grants to teachers. This funding directly enhances classroom academics and promotes creative learning opportunities.
The Moline Public Schools Foundation encourages all teachers in the Moline-Coal Valley School District to apply for a grant to help fund a project in their classroom. Our grants can provide students with access to extra resources that the district typically cannot fund.
The annual grant cycle timeline is:
- February 9th: Grant applications become available online.
- April 7th: Application submission deadline at 5pm.
- April 20th: The Allocations Committee reviews applications and submits funding recommendations to the Board.
- May 18th: The Board votes to approve and award grants.
- May 22nd: Grant recipients are notified.

The Moline Public Schools Foundation usually can fund, or at least partially fund, most grant requests submitted. We encourage all educators to apply, especially when you have an extra project in need of financial resources.

HAVlife ACTIVITY GRANTS AVAILABLE
The Moline Public Schools Foundation also receives annual funding from the HAVlife™ Foundation to work in partnership with its mission of preventing lost potential among youth ages 10 to 15 who might not be able to participate in athletics, music, and the arts.
Moline-Coal Valley School District employees can nominate students in this age category for a HAVlife™ grant, which the student can use to cover costs associated with extracurricular (both school and non-school) activities.
Because the HAVlife™ program includes athletics, music, and the arts as approved extracurricular activities, these funds can cover the cost of program enrollment or needed equipment. Past requests have been for activities such as swimming lessons, youth theater, and football camp.
When a student has financial need, consider submitting a grant request for funding their extracurricular activities.
For information about the availability of HAVlife grants, email Steffani Fielder, Moline Public Schools Foundation Executive Director, or call 309-743-8135.
